Tofacitinib is used alone or with other medications to treat rheumatoid arthritis (condition in which the body attacks its own joints causing pain, swelling, and loss of function) in adults who are unable to take or did not respond to one or more tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitor medication(s).

Nintedanib is used to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. It helps prevent changes to the lung tissue. It is also used to treat people with a chronic (long-lasting) interstitial lung disease in which lung fibrosis continues to progress or becomes worse.

Enzalutamide is used to treat prostate cancer. This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as anti-androgens (anti-testosterone). It works by blocking the effects of testosterone to slow the growth and spread of prostate cancer.

Methotrexate 2.5 mg Tablets are one of a group of medicines called antimetabolites which affect cell growth, including the growth of cancer cells. Methotrexate can be used to treat severe cases of psoriasis (a skin disease) and rheumatoid arthritis (a disease of the joints).

MTX 5mg Tablet works by slowing the growth of cancer cells in the body. It is used to treat a wide range of cancers, such as acute leukemias, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and solid tumors found in the breast, lung, bladder, head, and neck, as well as cervical, ovarian, and testicular cancer.2

Oxcarbazepine 300 mg tablets are primarily used to treat and prevent epilepsy and seizures, specifically partial (focal) seizures, in both adults and children. It is an anticonvulsant medication that helps control the abnormal electrical activity in the brain that causes seizures. Primary UsesOxcarbazepine is prescribed for:

• Treatment of partial seizures: It can be used as a standalone treatment (monotherapy) or in combination with other anti-epileptic medicines (adjunct therapy) to control partial seizures, which may or may not spread to become secondarily generalized tonic-clonic seizures.
• Epilepsy management: The medication helps in reducing the frequency and severity of seizures, which improves a patient's quality of life. 

   Off-Label UsesIn some cases, healthcare providers may also prescribe oxcarbazepine for other conditions, including: 

• Bipolar disorder (as a mood stabilizer, though usually as a second-line option).
• Trigeminal neuralgia (nerve pain in the face).
• Management of certain behavioral problems, such as irritability and agitation in children with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). 

Important Considerations

• Not a cure: Oxcarbazepine controls seizures but does not cure epilepsy. It must be taken regularly as advised by a doctor to be effective.
• Do not stop suddenly: Abruptly stopping the medication can lead to an increase in seizure frequency, which can be serious.
• Monitoring is necessary: Your doctor may recommend regular blood tests to monitor sodium levels, as the medication can cause low sodium (hyponatremia), and to check for potential blood or liver problems.
• Potential side effects: Common side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, headache, and double vision. It can also increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behaviors in a small number of people.
• Interactions: Oxcarbazepine can make hormonal birth control (pills, patches, etc.) less effective, so additional non-hormonal contraception methods are recommended.

Dutasteride (brand name Avodart) is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate. It helps improve symptoms such as urinary flow and may also reduce your need for prostate surgery later on.

Dutasteride prevents the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the body. DHT is involved in the development of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

This action helps to:

  Important Considerations

Important Considerations

• Not for Acute Attacks: Febuxostat is a long-term preventative medicine and is not used to treat the sudden pain of an acute gout attack.
• Continue During Attacks: It is important to continue taking the medication even if you have a gout attack; stopping it suddenly can worsen symptoms. Your doctor may prescribe additional pain relievers (like NSAIDs or colchicine) to manage flares during the initial months of treatment.
• Cardiovascular Risk: Patients with pre-existing major cardiovascular diseases (e.g., heart attack, stroke, unstable angina) may have a higher risk of heart-related death compared to those treated with allopurinol. You must inform your doctor about any heart problems you have had.
• Monitoring: Regular blood tests are necessary to monitor your liver function and uric acid levels while taking this medication.
• Interactions: Febuxostat should not be used with the medicines azathioprine or mercaptopurine, as this can cause severe toxicity. 

Always take Febuxostat tablets exactly as directed by your healthcare provider, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.
